This gift box contains three types of incense woods and materials in a luxurious paulownia wood box to enjoy & INCENSE’s original combinations.

This is one of “kunoekou*” concoctions that was used to scent kimonos during the Heian period. It combines three fragrances to heighten the enjoyment of the exquisite scent of sandalwood. By burning sandalwood and Chinese cinnamon together, the sweetness of each mingles to create a spicy depth to the fragrance. When sandalwood is combined with borneol, a refreshing sweet aroma is produced and gives a pleasant sensation to the nasal passages. Burning these three fragrances together creates an enjoyable, sophisticated scent.
